After spending many successful years in the financial services industry, I decided it was time to truly utilize all that I had learned and start a better company. A company that didn’t get bogged down in red tape or bureaucracy and instead focused on what was truly best for the clients and our team. This simple model has been hugely successful in helping thousands of clients while allowing us to care for our ever-expanding team.

Running my own show is hugely gratifying. I relish the opportunity to do things right and strive to deliver what we say we’ll deliver 100 percent of the time. We’re building a brand on that promise, and it’s working really well. I’m happy, my colleagues are happy and, best of all, our customers get the professional service and expertise they deserve and want in a lender.

My strongest relationships outside of professional circles and my family are the friends I made as a boy in Bismarck, ND, including a few colleagues. We understand one another and share the same values and work ethic. We’re all here to make a difference for people.

I received a B.B.A. in Financial Management from the University of North Dakota and a Master of Security Analysis and Portfolio Management from Creighton University. I have also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation to deepen my understanding of financial and investment strategies and to apply this knowledge in further assisting our clients.

When I’m not helping our great clients achieve their goals, I love spending time outdoors with my family and friends year round, either camping or skiing.  I also enjoy golfing and fishing although I lack skill in both!  Mostly, I love working with my friends at Mountain State Financial Group and continuing to create a brand based on competitive pricing and exceptional service and delivery.

Bob and I have been friends since our elementary school days in Bismarck, ND. The two of us talked for years about how great it would be to work together, and then one day the timing was finally right.

My first job out of college was teaching math and science to middle and high schoolers. I moved to Colorado in my twenties and spent 11 years in the banking and lending sector before joining Bob a few months after he launched Mountain State Financial Group.

My lending experience has been the perfect complement to Bob’s financing and investment expertise. Even though I’ve generated loans in all 50 states, our business at MSFG is focused on Colorado, North Dakota, and Minnesota. We’re discovering how much fun—and how satisfying—it is to nurture and grow our own business.

Colorado has been good to me in a lot of ways. Besides loving to go to work every day, I met my wife here, and now we have a son and a daughter. When we take the time to get away, we can be found camping in the summer and trying to keep up with our kids on the ski slopes in the winter.

I spent the previous 15 years originating, processing and underwriting mortgages for banks before I was presented with the opportunity to work my good friends and colleagues at Mountain State Financial Group. I spent 20 years in management and sales—10 of those as an aviation specialist—before joining MSFG in early 2016. I’ve known Bob and Seth since childhood and have always been interested in finance and banking. When the chance to join their team was presented, I seized the opportunity to take my career in a new direction.

Moving to Colorado was a no-brainer. I’ve vacationed in the state for years, love hiking, biking and skiing, and appreciate the healthy, active vibe that Colorado offers. I’ve earned my mortgage broker license; now it’s full steam ahead with the MSFG team and our clients.

Being born and raised just out side of Green Bay, Wisconsin, makes me not only a transplant to Colorado, but an avid Packers fan. My wife and I moved out to Colorado in 1999 shortly after we both graduated from St. Norbert College. What we thought would be a 3 to 5 year time period, doing something different, has turned us into Colorado lifers nearly 20 years later. We have 3 amazing and active children that keep us on the go. We enjoy sports, camping, skiing, hiking, boating and living the Colorado life. I also enjoy running and I am an avid hunter.

I received my MBA from University of Phoenix to add to my Bachelor’s in Communications degree. I spent 5 years in the financial services and mortgage industry, before spending the past 15 years in the auto finance industry.

I met Robert and Seth 4 years ago on a camping trip, and the more we talked about Mountain State Financial Group, the more I knew it would be a great fit. I am excited to take my career in a different direction, and I am thrilled to be joining this amazing team. I look forward to providing amazing customer service and help my clients achieve their financial goals.

I spent 12 years in the banking and finance industry and have originated various loan types including both business to consumer loans. It is my passion to help clients find the right financing options regardless of their situation. This has allowed me to develop and maintain life-long relationships with my clients so when Bob Hoff and Seth Angell approached me about joining their team, the answer was an immediate yes! My family and friends had been working with the Mountain State Financial Group team since their inception and they have assisted with numerous mortgages. I’m a Colorado native and I love the beautiful seasons we have here. I am married with 4 boys that keep me busy especially with their competitive basketball. When I am not watching my boys play sports, I love to take our dogs for long hikes, workout and watch the Broncos and Nuggets win!!

After working for several years in the IT industry and wanting a better life balance, I joined my husband on his Real Estate Team, as a licensed Realtor. Through working in Real Estate and building a trusted partnership with Mountain State Financial Group, I decided to get my mortgage license to better serve our real estate clients by being the bridge between the Real Estate and Lending side of the business. Creating an evermore concierge approach to the process of buying a home.

I am truly passionate about meeting my clients’ needs, I utilize my keen listening skills and calm demeanor to truly hear what my clients need and want. My attention to detail and excellent communication skills ensure your experience will be seamless and successful.

I grew up in Evergreen, CO and love living in Arvada. It is positioned perfectly to get down to the city or head West to the Mountains! We had our daughter in April 2019 and have a Chocolate Lab. I am a Colorado native and have been a real estate broker for 20 years. I met Seth and Bob a couple of years ago and began referring clients to Mountain State Financial Group. At that point in my real estate career, naturally I had several great, established relationships with lenders, but as clients began to work with Mountain State Financial Group, I was astonished by just how superior everyone’s experiences were; from competitive programs, fees and rates to excellent communication, service, efficiency, meeting closing timelines and just how much my clients and I enjoyed working with them as people.

What I quickly learned about Mountain State Financial Group is their desire was to provide superior products, treat the consumer fairly, offer expert advice and put their clients in control of their buying decisions with incredible guidance and expertise. They absolutely deliver so when the conversation came up and we began exploring the potential for me to join them as a Loan Officer I was all about it.

I am excited to work in this capacity and feel I offer a unique perspective with a rich understanding of how lending and real estate purchases affect one another, offering great protection for Buyers in the process of purchasing.

Although my husband and I could easily be Grandma and Grandpa, we are actually Mom and Dad to our teenage son! We enjoy many activities together, but what we are all most passionate about is drag racing. My son races a junior dragster during the warmer months so you can generally find us literally speeding down the drag strip. We also love visiting the Colorado mountains as often as we can and enjoy pulling lodge duty while watching our son ski.

DAVID ANDREASON

I’m a Utah native who enjoys life, people, and being in the mountains! I discovered Telluride and the surrounding area about ten years ago and have since been making the trip there about four or five time a year, finally deciding to make southwestern Colorado my home in 2021.

I first started in the mortgage business in 1990 and loved everything about it. My degree from the University of Utah is in Political Science and I have always been involved with various community issues and organizations over the years. I value a healthy community and think that helping people secure housing that works for them is a privilege. In my free time, I can be found reading, hiking, spending time with family, or running a trail in the mountains somewhere.

MIKE WILSON

I have worked as a public educator for the past 30 years as both as a high school counselor and a teacher. I have always been motivated by helping others and I am a firm believer that education and transparency is the best way to do business. These values are shared by the Mountain State Financial Group team which made the transition into this career seamless. Being a member of this team of professionals has truly been a rewarding experience.

As the Office Manager, I work directly with the team to ensure the mortgage process is efficient and pleasant for our clients through my attention to detail and organizational skills. I am proud to refer my family and friends to the MSFG team as our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction is not often found in the business world today.

I received my B.S. in Education from Phillips University and my Masters in Psychology from University of Colorado at Denver. My experience and education adds great value to our clients by adding the human dynamic to the mortgage process.

I am a native from the Pacific Northwest who moved to sunny Colorado 6 years ago and fell in love with the state. I have many years in corporate recruiting and IT sales. I met Seth about 4 years ago when he helped me buy my first home. My experience as a client with MSFG was so smooth and positive, I knew I wanted to join such an amazing team. I now have a lot of flexibility and time to dedicate to MSFG and our clients. I love whiskey and doggy play dates with my giant 170lb puppy.

ASHLEY IVERSON

I am yet another native North Dakotan who decided to make Colorado home. Shortly after getting settled in here, I was approached about joining Mountain State Financial Group. I was thrilled at the opportunity to become a part of this team. Having spent decades in the service industry, providing excellent customer service is especially important to me. Learning that is the way of MSFG made coming onboard a no-brainer.

Aside from my many years in the service industry, I spent my most recent years in the oil and gas industry. Before that, I worked in general aviation, which turned me into somewhat of an airplane geek. I always enjoy learning new things, so the idea of taking my career path in a totally new direction is exciting to me.

BROOK ZINK

I was born and raised in Grand Forks, ND, and earned my bachelor’s degree from Washington State University in 2002. For the last 10 years, I’ve been an executive at a real estate law firm running a team of over 40 staff members. Mortgage Origination seemed like a natural fit, especially after years of working in title and settlement services. I thrive on helping others and would love the opportunity to help you finance your dream home! 

I’ve been in Colorado since early 2003 and married a Colorado native, the one and only Zachary Zink. We have 2 teenagers, a Golden Retriever and a fiesty cat named Charlotte. We love to camp, travel and spend time in the mountains.
